About PawerLab
A pet-products brand you can check.
Every claim we make points at a document, a test, or a shelf. If we can't back it, we don't say it.
Shop the storeWhat we won't say.
Four phrases you'll see on almost every competitor. We refuse to use any of them. Here's why — because the refusal is the point.
-
"All-natural"
There is no FTC or FDA definition for "natural" in pet cleansing products. It's a marketing word, not a specification. Our wipes contain water, plant-derived surfactants, and a 0.08% preservative. That preservative is why the pack stays safe on your dog's skin for two years. "Natural" would mean removing it.
-
"Chemical-free"
Water is a chemical. Every ingredient is a chemical. Products marketed as "chemical-free" either don't understand the word or are lying. We'd rather name each chemical, show what it does, and publish the concentrations we can.
-
"Vet recommended"
No veterinarian has reviewed or endorsed this formula, and we won't print the phrase until one has, with their name attached. What we do have is the testing itself — SGS skin-compatibility reports and lab panels, with report IDs anyone can ask about. A borrowed word isn't the same as a filed one.
-
"Kills 99.9% of germs"
That's an EPA disinfectant claim. Our wipes are cleansing products, not disinfectants, and we didn't run the tests. Claiming it would be regulatory fraud. What we ran was a 0.01 MCII human patch test and a 2.0 g/kg acute oral toxicity study — those numbers are on the product pages, with report IDs.
Three credentials, named.
You can look up all three. That's the whole idea.

Human-volunteer skin testing
Our ear and cat wipes were tested for skin compatibility on human volunteers at SGS, at 0.01 MCII and 2.0 g/kg respectively. Report IDs SHCPCH23006986-01S1 and SHCPCH24001149-01. Skin, not disease — we don't say more than the report says.

USDA Certified Biobased — on the products that earned it
Our 60-count dog wipe carries the USDA Certified Biobased label at its measured biobased content. The ear wipe uses "naturally-derived" instead, because it didn't run the same test. Same principle: the label matches the paperwork, not the marketing goal.
USDA BioPreferred Program
We match, we don't promise a percentage.
Most "we donate X% of every sale" lines are placeholders that stay live for years. Ours did too — that phrase was on this page and we didn't like seeing it here after we saw it in memory. So we replaced it with the program we actually run: for every order that opts in, PawerLab sends a matched product donation — wipes, towels, or litter — to a rotating list of Central Texas shelters. Real inventory, real receipts, no revenue percentages we haven't committed to in writing.
If you're a shelter and want on the list, email hi@pawerlab.com.
Meet the PawerLab team.
The pets who inform every formulation. Yes, we know it's a bit. It's also true — every product we ship gets a home trial with one of them first.

Fiona
PawerLab CEOFiona started PawerLab in 2020 with a simple premise: most "pet products" are repurposed human products with different packaging. She recruited the engineers, set the claims policy that runs this page, and decides what ships.
-

Kenzie
Pet Toy EngineerRetriever. Prototypes every enrichment concept before it makes it near a supplier RFQ. If Kenzie won't work on it for ten minutes straight, we don't order the mold.
-

Ramen
Pet Wipe EngineerDachshund with a strong opinion about wipe texture. Owns the sensitive-skin protocol — if Ramen reacts, the formula doesn't ship.
-

Hazel
Chief Engineer, Bath & TowelsCame from a big litter and got tired of the towel rotation. Runs the absorbency comparison every new towel size has to beat before we cut the pattern.

"We're not made the same, so why should our grooming and cleaning products be? I'd rather show you the paperwork than write "all-natural" on the box."
— Fiona, PawerLab CEO · Fiona is a cat. This is the bit; the paperwork is real.
The boring, checkable details.
