For cats

A cat wipe that isn't
the dog one relabelled

Cats are not small dogs, and their livers are the reason. Our cat formula has no essential oils in it at all — no lavender, no tea tree, no citrus, no “natural fragrance” doing the same job under a different name.

Where most cat owners start

The situations we hear most, and the product for each. The full range is below.

Litter tracked out, or a cat who won't be bathed

Catnip Infused Pawer Cat Wipes

Five ingredients, pH 7.0, no essential oils. Real Nepeta cataria extract rather than a catnip-scented fragrance — though somewhere between 30 and 50 percent of cats don't respond to catnip at all, and we say so on the product page.

$19.99pH 7.0 · no essential oils

The occasional bath, or a wet cat and a cold house

Pawer Towel 30×50″

Split-filament microfiber that pulls water out of a coat instead of pushing it around. Edgeless — ultrasonically cut and fused, so there is no stitched hem to drag across a cat or fray in the wash.

$98.9930×50″ · also in XL

A note on the towels. They are the same towels we sell to dog owners — we didn't make a cat-specific version and we're not going to pretend we did. For most cats the 30×50 is more towel than you will ever need.

Why the cat formula is genuinely different

No lavenderNo tea treeNo citrusNo “natural fragrance”

Cats lack much of the glucuronidation capacity that dogs and humans rely on to clear the aromatic compounds in essential oils. That is a real difference in liver enzymes, not a marketing distinction — and it is why so many oils that are unremarkable for a dog are a genuine problem for a cat.

Our dog wipes contain a trace of real lavender oil. This formula contains none. Not a reduced amount, not a gentler oil, and not a “natural fragrance” listed under a different name. We built a separate formula rather than sell you the dog version with a cat on the label, which is the more common approach in this category.

Five ingredients: water, one mild cleanser, catnip, green tea, and a named preservative at a published percentage. On a cat page, a short list is itself the safety argument.

Before you buy

Are these safe if my cat grooms afterward?

That is the question the toxicity test was run to answer. The finished formula went to SGS Shanghai for acute oral toxicity testing under OECD 420 and returned no toxic effects and no mortality at the 2.0 g/kg limit dose, with a GHS Category 5 / Unclassified rating. Report No. SHCPCH24001149-01. Being straight about scope: that is an ingestion study, not a skin study.

My cat ignores catnip. Is this pointless?

No. Somewhere between 30 and 50 percent of cats don't respond to catnip at all — the response is genetic, and kittens generally don't develop it until three to six months. If yours shrugs, the wipe still cleans exactly as well. We are also not going to tell you catnip calms your cat; the claim is that cats like it.

Can I just use the dog wipes?

We'd rather you didn't, and the reason is the lavender oil in the dog formula. That is the whole point of there being two separate formulas rather than one wipe with two labels.

Why is the cat range shorter than the dog range?

Because we ship a product when we have made something we would use ourselves, not to round out a page — and cats simply need fewer things than dogs do. The range does grow. What we won't do is relabel: a cat-specific towel would be the same microfiber in different packaging, so we sell you the towel we already make and tell you plainly that it isn't cat-specific.

Is PawerLab cruelty-free?

Yes — we're Leaping Bunny certified, the independently audited standard for cruelty-free consumer products. Neither we nor our manufacturers conduct or commission animal testing. Our skin-compatibility work is done on human volunteers under dermatological supervision.
